The Metropolitan Association of Local Government Assistants (MALGA) provides issue discussion, professional development, and networking opportunities to Washington D.C. area local government professionals.
MALGA currently has over 50 members who work for over a dozen cities and counties in the DC area. |

MALGA organizes bi-monthly luncheons with distinguished public administrators and government experts who provide insights, mentoring, and training for participants.
Additionally, MALGA organizes an annual all-day summer retreat that includes a training component as well as a presentation/discussion component.
MALGA is an excellent mechanism for experienced administrators to "give back" to the field through interactions with new administrative talent.
